Patriots, it's time for some brutal honesty: Iranian culture is not American culture, and pretending otherwise has led to decades of foreign policy disasters. While Iranian dissidents suffer under the brutal Islamic regime, American politicians continue making catastrophic mistakes about who represents the real Iran.
The numbers are staggering and shameful. Social media user @Bladyy_Iran pointed out a horrifying reality that mainstream media ignores: "Islamic regime has murdered more than 20,000 innocent people in Iran who asked for basic human rights, just compare the number with the Ukraine war!"
Yet what are Democrats doing? Meeting with the wrong people entirely.
"@kenmartin73 of @TheDemocrats has the AUDACITY to compare the United States and Iran. All while @TheDemocrats are meeting with #MEKterrorists instead of meeting with who the Iranian people REALLY want Reza Pahlavi! Just like them to work against freedom!" - @Ligit_Eclectic
This is the Democrat playbook in action: ignore legitimate voices, cozy up to terrorists, then wonder why everything goes sideways. The MEK has a bloody history of terrorism, yet Democrats prefer them over Reza Pahlavi, who actually represents Iranian aspirations for freedom.
America First Means Recognizing Cultural Reality
Here's what the establishment doesn't want you to understand: different cultures have different values, different histories, and different paths to freedom. That doesn't make them better or worse - it makes them different.
The neocon obsession with nation-building has left Americans exhausted, as one social media observer noted: "Unfortunately for Iran, Americans have become exhausted of middle east nation building." And who can blame us? After Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya, maybe it's time to admit that imposing American solutions on non-American cultures doesn't work.
President Trump's America First approach recognizes this reality. We can support freedom without pretending every country is just America with different food. We can oppose the murderous Iranian regime without falling into the same old trap of thinking we can remake the Middle East in our image.
The Iranian people deserve freedom - but they deserve Iranian freedom, built by Iranians, for Iranians. Not another Democrat-designed disaster that empowers the wrong people and leaves everyone worse off.
