President Donald Trump is sending a clear message to the world: America is back, and we're bringing our champions with us.
The White House announced Friday that Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance will lead a star-studded Presidential Delegation to Milan, Italy for the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics on February 6th. And folks, this isn't your typical diplomatic snooze-fest – this delegation is packed with American gold.
A Delegation of Winners
Joining the Vances will be Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ambassador to Italy Tilman Fertitta, along with four legendary American Olympic champions: twin sisters Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and Monique Lamoureux-Morando, who captured gold in women's ice hockey in 2018; short track speed skating icon Apolo Ohno, an eight-time Olympic medalist; and figure skating champion Evan Lysacek, who took gold in Vancouver in 2010.
This is what American representation on the world stage looks like under President Trump – successful, accomplished patriots who actually WON something, not diversity checkbox bureaucrats or celebrity activists pushing woke agendas.
A Stark Contrast to the Biden Years
Remember when the Biden administration announced a "diplomatic boycott" of the 2022 Beijing Olympics? That meaningless gesture accomplished absolutely nothing except making America look weak and indecisive. The CCP laughed all the way through those games while our athletes were left in the lurch without proper support from their own government.
President Trump understands that the Olympics aren't just about sports – they're about national pride, international prestige, and showing the world what American excellence looks like. By sending Vice President Vance and a delegation of genuine American heroes, Trump is restoring the dignity and strength that our Olympic delegations deserve.
America First, Even in Italy
The inclusion of Ambassador Fertitta – the successful businessman Trump appointed to represent American interests in Rome – ensures this delegation isn't just ceremonial. This is about building relationships, projecting strength, and reminding our allies that the United States is once again a reliable partner led by serious people.
While the legacy media will no doubt find something to complain about, everyday Americans can take pride in a President who celebrates winners and sends our very best to represent the red, white, and blue on the international stage.
The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo will mark the first Winter Games since Trump's triumphant return to office. And if this delegation is any indication, the world is about to be reminded what it looks like when America sends its champions – not its apologists.
What do you think, Patriots? Are you proud to see real American winners representing us at the Olympics?
