What was supposed to be a lifeline for American families facing crushing medical bills has become yet another example of how foreign governments are gaming our system while hospitals and Wall Street cash in at patients' expense.
The No Surprises Act (NSA), passed by Congress with the noble goal of protecting Americans from outrageous surprise medical bills, has been completely perverted. In less than three years, the Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) system – the very mechanism designed to shield patients – has morphed into a profit engine for foreign governments and private equity vultures.
This is exactly the kind of swamp behavior that President Trump has been fighting against since day one. While American families struggle to pay their medical bills, foreign powers are exploiting loopholes in our own patient protection laws to line their pockets.
How the Scam Works
The IDR system was meant to be a fair arbitration process when hospitals and insurance companies couldn't agree on payment amounts. Instead, it's become a rigged game where foreign-owned entities and private equity firms manipulate the system to maximize their profits while patients get stuck with the bill.
Hospitals – many now owned by foreign corporations or private equity giants – are actively allowing this exploitation to continue because they're making money hand over fist. Meanwhile, hardworking American families are left wondering why their medical bills keep skyrocketing despite laws supposedly designed to protect them.
This is the Deep State administrative apparatus at its worst. Complex regulations that sound good on paper but end up being weaponized against the very people they claim to help.
Time for Trump to Clean House
With President Trump back in the White House and his administration's focus on putting America First, this foreign exploitation of our healthcare system needs to end immediately. The Department of Health and Human Services, under Trump's leadership, must audit every aspect of the IDR system and root out foreign interference.
American patients deserve protection from surprise bills – not a system that enriches foreign governments while our own citizens suffer. This is exactly why we need leaders who will fight for America First policies, not globalist schemes that put foreign profits over American patients.
How much longer will we allow foreign powers to exploit laws meant to protect American families?
