The Trump administration isn't wasting any time flexing America's renewed muscle in our own backyard. Fresh off the military operation that deposited Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro, sources familiar with the matter tell The Blaze that Communist Cuba could be next on the chopping block.
This aggressive reassertion of American power comes as no surprise to anyone who actually read Trump's National Security Strategy, which declared that "after years of neglect, the United States will reassert and enforce the Monroe Doctrine to restore American preeminence in the Western Hemisphere."
Unlike the weak rhetoric we got used to under the Biden regime, Trump is backing up his words with decisive action. The successful removal of Maduro sends a crystal-clear message to every tin-pot dictator in Latin America: the sheriff is back in town, and he's not playing games.
America First in Our Own Hemisphere
For too long, Patriots have watched Communist regimes terrorize their own people just 90 miles from our shores while weak American leadership did nothing. Meanwhile, China and Russia were busy expanding their influence right in our backyard, turning countries like Venezuela into staging grounds for anti-American operations.
The Monroe Doctrine, established in 1823, made it clear that the Western Hemisphere was America's sphere of influence. But decades of globalist politicians allowed hostile foreign powers to treat Latin America like their personal playground.
"This administration understands that American strength abroad begins with American dominance in our own hemisphere," one administration source reportedly said.
Cuba's Communist dictatorship has oppressed the Cuban people for over six decades while serving as a beachhead for Russian and Chinese intelligence operations. The regime has consistently worked to undermine American interests and spread Marxist ideology throughout the region.
With Maduro gone and Venezuela potentially returning to democratic governance, Cuba's Communist leadership has to be wondering if they're next. And they should be.
Are we finally witnessing the return of American strength that puts dictators on notice? The Cuban regime's days of operating with impunity may be numbered.
