BREAKING: New Jersey Governor MELTS DOWN Over Trump's Gateway Tunnel Funding Freeze - Calls President's Move 'ILLEGAL'

New Jersey's Democrat Governor Mikie Sherrill is having a complete meltdown after President Trump froze $16 billion in federal funding for the massively over-budget Gateway Tunnel project, hysterically calling the Commander-in-Chief's fiscally responsible decision an 'illegal attack' on her state.

But here's what Sherrill and her Democrat allies don't want you to know: this is exactly the kind of government waste and inefficiency that President Trump promised to eliminate when he put Elon Musk in charge of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

The Gateway Tunnel, a pet project of the Biden regime, has been plagued by cost overruns, delays, and the typical bureaucratic incompetence that Americans are sick and tired of funding with their hard-earned tax dollars. While Sherrill claims 100,000 jobs are at risk, she conveniently ignores how many jobs could be created with $16 billion spent on actually productive infrastructure projects.

Democrats Put Politics Over People

Instead of working with the Trump administration to find a more efficient solution, Sherrill immediately ran to the liberal media to throw her tantrum and demand the restoration of funding for what amounts to another government boondoggle.

This is exactly why Americans voted for Trump - to drain the swamp and stop the endless flow of taxpayer money into projects that benefit political cronies more than working families.

President Trump's funding freeze sends a clear message: the days of blank checks for bloated, inefficient government projects are over. Every dollar of taxpayer money will be scrutinized, and projects will actually have to prove their worth.

While Democrats like Sherrill cry 'illegal attack,' patriots across America are celebrating a president who finally has the courage to say 'no' to wasteful spending. This is what draining the swamp looks like in action.

The question isn't whether Trump's move is legal - it absolutely is. The real question is: how many more billions in government waste will the Trump-Vance administration save American taxpayers?

How is it 'illegal' for the President to control federal spending? That's literally his job!

The Governor calling this 'illegal' is rich coming from a state that's been mismanaging funds for decades. Maybe focus on fixing your own fiscal house first before demanding federal money.

I actually use NJ Transit daily and while the tunnel needs work, throwing more money at poorly managed state projects isn't the answer. The state needs to prove it can handle funds responsibly first.

This! I'm tired of seeing good money thrown after bad on these bloated infrastructure projects that go way over budget.

Finally! Trump is doing what he promised - making states accountable for their own projects instead of relying on federal handouts.

Exactly! Why should taxpayers in other states fund NJ's infrastructure when they can't even manage their own budget?
