The radical left is having another meltdown, this time over President Trump's consideration of using the Insurrection Act to help secure America's border and restore law and order. Sen. Tina Smith (D-MN) led the charge of Democratic hysteria, apparently unaware that this presidential authority is neither unprecedented nor dangerous.
What's truly dangerous is how these same Democrats remained silent when their cities burned during the BLM riots of 2020, but now clutch their pearls when Trump considers using legal federal authority to protect American citizens from the invasion at our southern border.
History Lesson for Hysterical Democrats
The Insurrection Act has been used dozens of times throughout American history by presidents from both parties. Dwight Eisenhower used it to enforce school desegregation. John F. Kennedy deployed it during civil rights conflicts. Even George H.W. Bush invoked it during the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
But somehow when Trump considers using this same legal authority to address the ongoing border crisis and restore order to our communities plagued by illegal immigrant crime, suddenly it's "authoritarian"? Give me a break.
"The hypocrisy is staggering. Democrats had no problem when federal forces were deployed to their political advantage, but the moment Trump uses presidential powers to actually protect Americans, they scream tyranny."
The Insurrection Act exists precisely for situations where local and state authorities are unable or unwilling to maintain order. With Democrat-run sanctuary cities actively obstructing immigration enforcement and criminal cartels operating with impunity, Trump's consideration of this tool shows he's serious about his mandate from the American people.
Patriots Understand What's at Stake
Real Americans aren't fooled by this manufactured outrage. We know the difference between legitimate presidential authority and actual overreach – something we witnessed plenty of during the Biden regime's weaponization of federal agencies against political opponents.
Trump isn't threatening democracy; he's defending it by ensuring our laws are actually enforced and our borders are secured. If Democrats spent half as much energy supporting border security as they do manufacturing fake controversies, we might not need to consider the Insurrection Act at all.
The question isn't whether Trump has the authority to use the Insurrection Act – he absolutely does. The question is why Democrats are so desperate to prevent him from securing our border and protecting American communities?
