President Trump is wasting no time draining the swamp and cutting bloated government spending, freezing $16 billion in federal funding for New Jersey's Gateway Tunnel project and sending Democrats into absolute panic mode.

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill – a Democrat who clearly doesn't understand Trump means business – is now desperately calling the funding freeze an 'illegal attack' on her state. The liberal establishment just can't accept that the gravy train of wasteful infrastructure spending is officially over.

Sherrill claims 100,000 jobs are at risk, but Patriots know this is typical Democrat fear-mongering. These are the same politicians who screamed the sky was falling when Trump cut regulations in his first term, only to watch the economy BOOM like never before.

America First vs. Swamp Spending

The Gateway Tunnel project represents everything wrong with Washington's spending addiction. While hardworking Americans struggle with inflation caused by Biden's reckless spending, Democrats want to throw $16 billion at another government boondoggle that will inevitably go over budget and behind schedule.

Trump promised to implement the DOGE efficiency program led by Elon Musk, and this funding freeze shows he's keeping that promise. Every dollar of taxpayer money needs to be justified, not automatically handed over to Democrat-controlled states for their pet projects.

"This is what fiscal responsibility looks like, folks. Trump is putting America's taxpayers first, not New Jersey's political machine."

Sherrill's hysterical reaction proves Trump is hitting the right targets. The same politicians who wasted trillions during the Biden regime are now crying because they can't continue their spending spree on Trump's watch.

Making Government Work for the People

This funding freeze isn't an attack on New Jersey – it's an attack on wasteful government spending that has bankrupted our nation. Trump understands that infrastructure projects must be efficient, cost-effective, and truly necessary, not just political payoffs to Democrat strongholds.

Patriots across America are cheering as Trump delivers on his promise to end business as usual in Washington. How many more bloated projects will get the axe as this administration drains the swamp once and for all?

As someone who commutes through NJ daily, I get that infrastructure is important but $16B is insane. My company built a whole factory for $50 million - where does all this money actually go?

Love seeing Democrats panic when their slush funds get cut off! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This is exactly the kind of fiscal responsibility we voted for. $16 billion could be much better spent securing our border or rebuilding our military.

Can someone explain why this tunnel project costs so much more than similar projects in other countries? Seems like there's a lot of waste built into these estimates.

FINALLY! Trump is keeping his promise to stop wasteful spending on these massive boondoggles. New Jersey Democrats have been treating taxpayer money like their personal piggy bank for decades.

Exactly right Mike! Why should hardworking Americans in other states subsidize NJ's infrastructure when our own roads and bridges need work?

Good! I'm so tired of these massive infrastructure projects that go way over budget and take forever to complete. Look at California's high speed rail disaster.

Don't even get me started on that train to nowhere! At least someone is finally saying no to these money pits.
