Liberal Senator Tammy Duckworth is making headlines for all the wrong reasons after attacking Immigration and Customs Enforcement for doing their job – and exposing her party's warped priorities in the process.
The Illinois Democrat is accusing ICE of "needlessly" detaining a 5-year-old boy with his illegal immigrant father. But here's what Duckworth conveniently left out of her virtue-signaling tirade: the child's own mother REFUSED to take custody of her son.
Let that sink in, Patriots. A mother abandoned her own child, yet somehow ICE is the villain for keeping the boy with his father instead of throwing him into the foster care system.
The LEFT'S Backwards Logic on Full Display
This story perfectly illustrates everything wrong with the Democrat approach to immigration. Instead of holding accountable the adults who broke our laws and put this child in danger, Duckworth attacks the federal agents trying to clean up the mess.
Where was Duckworth's outrage when the Biden regime was separating families and housing kids in overflow facilities? Where was her concern when cartels were trafficking children across our wide-open border for four years?
"The fact that this child is with his father rather than abandoned to the system shows ICE is actually prioritizing family unity while enforcing our laws," one immigration expert told reporters.
This is exactly why President Trump's mass deportation program is so desperately needed. For too long, we've allowed illegal immigrants to game the system while politicians like Duckworth attack the brave men and women trying to restore order.
TRUMP Administration Stands Firm
The Department of Homeland Security fired back at Duckworth's grandstanding, making it clear that ICE agents are following proper protocols while enforcing immigration law – something the previous administration refused to do.
Under Trump's leadership, we're finally seeing accountability return to our immigration system. No more catch-and-release. No more rewarding illegal behavior. Just the rule of law that built this great nation.
Maybe Senator Duckworth should focus her energy on the real villains here: the mother who abandoned her child and the smugglers who profit from human misery. But that would require actually caring about solutions instead of cheap political points.
