A Republican challenger to rising conservative star Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) has sparked controversy with perhaps the most cringe-worthy campaign strategy of 2026: using Tinder to chase young female voters.
James Fishback, who's attempting to primary the popular Trump-aligned congressman in Florida's gubernatorial race, announced Monday that he's joined the dating app "to meet young female voters where they are."
Let that sink in, folks. A grown man running for governor is swiping right on dating apps, claiming it's all about "voter outreach." If this doesn't scream desperation, what does?
Another RINO Gimmick?
While Byron Donalds has been fighting alongside President Trump to secure our border and drain the swamp, his challenger is apparently more focused on sliding into DMs than serving Floridians. This bizarre stunt raises serious questions about Fishback's judgment and priorities.
"I've joined [Tinder] to meet young female voters where they are, and share my plan," Fishback announced, seemingly oblivious to how inappropriate this sounds.
Patriots across Florida are already asking the obvious question: Is this really the kind of "leadership" we need challenging one of our strongest conservative voices? Donalds has been a fierce defender of America First policies and a reliable ally to President Trump's agenda.
Wrong Priorities, Wrong Time
While Trump is delivering on his promises to secure the border and restore American greatness, GOP primary challengers should be focused on supporting that agenda—not cooking up social media stunts that belong in a Saturday Night Live sketch.
Florida Republicans deserve serious leaders who understand the gravity of the moment, not politicians who think governance is a game of swipe-left, swipe-right.
The real question is: Will Florida voters see through this desperate attention grab, or will they stick with proven fighters like Byron Donalds who've been in the trenches defending conservative values? The answer should be obvious.
