The Deep State swamp creatures are already coming for one of Trump's strongest cabinet picks. Anonymous federal agents are whining that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem "jumped the gun" when she took control of the investigation into the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by two Customs and Border Protection employees on January 24th.
According to four unnamed "senior federal law enforcement officials" speaking to the Washington Examiner, these bureaucrats were "stunned" that Noem actually had the audacity to do her job and oversee her own department's investigation. Imagine that – a Trump appointee actually taking charge instead of letting the administrative state run wild!
Same Old Deep State Playbook
This is exactly the kind of bureaucratic sabotage we saw throughout Trump's first term. Career federal employees who think they run the show, not the elected officials and their appointees. These anonymous sources are clearly trying to undermine Noem's authority before she can clean house at DHS.
What exactly did Noem do wrong here? She declared that a DHS agency would handle the investigation into a shooting involving DHS employees. That's called leadership, something these Deep State operatives apparently aren't used to seeing.
"This is the same tired playbook we've seen for years – anonymous federal sources running to friendly media outlets whenever a Trump appointee dares to actually lead their department," one congressional Republican source told Next News Network.
The timing is no coincidence either. This attack on Noem comes just as she's ramping up Trump's mass deportation agenda and securing our southern border. The swamp doesn't want strong leadership disrupting their cozy arrangements.
Patriots See Through the Games
Americans are sick of unelected bureaucrats thinking they know better than the officials we actually voted for. Kristi Noem was chosen by President Trump specifically because she's a fighter who won't back down from the establishment.
These anonymous federal agents can whine all they want, but Noem answers to Trump and the American people – not some Deep State career officials who've been part of the problem for decades. Will the administrative state succeed in their latest attempt to kneecap a Trump appointee, or will Noem stand strong against the swamp?
