In a bombshell testimony before the House Judiciary Committee Wednesday, Irish comedian Graham Linehan—who was arrested in the UK for his controversial online trans comments—called on Congress to use "every diplomatic lever" available to force the United Kingdom to enforce court rulings on the legal definition of a woman and safeguard free speech.

Linehan, the iconic writer behind hit British comedies "Father Ted" and "The IT Crowd," has become a lightning rod for his outspoken criticism of transgender ideology. His career was effectively destroyed by the woke mob, and he now faces criminal prosecution in the UK simply for stating biological facts online.

Social media erupted as news of his testimony spread. "BREAKING: Graham Linehan, the iconic Irish writer & comedian, was arrested in the UK for his controversial online trans comments," posted @BMWQQ17. "Today, he's stepping up to testify before Congress!"

The hearing, which also featured Finnish politician Päivi Räsänen who was prosecuted for quoting Bible verses, highlighted the dangerous erosion of free speech across Europe. As @Witness24News noted: "Finland prosecuted her for a Bible verse. British Police arrested him for tweets. Today they testify in Congress about how Europe is criminalising speech, and why America should pay attention."

UK's War on Free Speech Exposed

Free speech advocate Harry Miller, founder of Fair Cop, didn't mince words about Britain's authoritarian turn. "We have a real, deep problem in the UK," Miller told GB News, reacting to Linehan's congressional testimony about diminishing free speech rights.

This is exactly the kind of dystopian nightmare that President Trump's America First agenda seeks to prevent from taking root in the United States. While Europe criminalizes basic biological truths and Christian faith, America must stand as a beacon of constitutional liberty.

Patriots should be asking themselves: If they can arrest a comedian for tweets and prosecute a politician for Bible verses, what's next? Will America allow our closest allies to descend into authoritarian madness while we stand by and watch?

As someone who does amateur stand-up, this hits close to home. Comedy is supposed to push boundaries and make people think, not land you in handcuffs!

Same here man. I've had to completely rewrite half my material because venues are too scared to book anything 'controversial' now.

This is why I moved from California to Texas. At least here I can still speak my mind without worrying about the speech police.

Does anyone know what specific comments got him arrested? I'm trying to understand exactly where they're drawing these ridiculous lines now. The fact that we're even having this conversation is terrifying.

I think it was something about biological reality during one of his stand-up sets. Apparently that's 'hate speech' now.

Good for him! Someone needs to call out this insanity before it spreads even more.

My cousin lives in England and says people are genuinely afraid to speak their minds about anything controversial. It's like living in Soviet Russia over there. We cannot let that happen here.

Finally someone with the courage to stand up to this woke madness! The UK has completely lost its way on free speech - thank God we still have the First Amendment here.

For now we do, but look how they're trying to silence comedians here too. We can't get complacent.

The UK is lost. They arrest people for tweets and comedy shows while real criminals walk free.

This is exactly why I homeschool my kids. When comedians can't even tell jokes without getting arrested, you know society has gone completely off the rails.
