The hypocrisy is staggering. While teachers union bosses spent 2025 crying about how the Trump administration was supposedly putting financial strain on educators, they were secretly blowing hundreds of thousands of dollars on luxury vacations to golf resorts, casinos, and five-star hotels.
Financial disclosures from 2025 reveal that leaders at the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and other major unions were living it up from Las Vegas to Miami—all on the dime of hardworking teachers who pay union dues expecting their money to go toward actual representation.
But here's the real kicker: these same union fat cats had the audacity to attack President Trump for policies they claimed were hurting teachers, when they were the ones robbing educators blind.
Union Members Demand Answers
The scandal gets even worse when you look at how little these unions actually spend on their members. Social media watchdog Aaron Withe exposed the Chicago Teachers Union's shocking misuse of funds, tweeting: "Union members want to know where their dues are going and for good reason: CTU spent only 17.7% on representing members in FY2025 while spending millions on politics."
"The Wall Street Journal weighs in on Chicago Teachers Union's audit crisis. Union members want to know where their dues are going and for good reason: CTU spent only 17.7% on representing members in FY2025 while spending millions on politics."
Think about that for a moment. Less than 18% of union dues actually went to helping teachers, while union bosses were jet-setting to luxury destinations and pouring millions into left-wing political causes.
This is exactly the kind of swamp behavior that President Trump has been fighting against. While these union leaders were sipping cocktails poolside at expensive resorts, real teachers were struggling with classroom resources and dealing with the mess left behind by the Biden administration's disastrous education policies.
The American people deserve better than this blatant corruption. How many more teachers unions are cooking the books while their leaders live like royalty? It's time for a full investigation into where every penny of union dues is really going.
