The NYPD showed they still know how to enforce the law on Friday, arresting 12 anti-ICE protesters who thought they could illegally block traffic outside Columbia University to obstruct President Trump's mass deportation operations.

The radical activists, including both students and faculty from the notoriously woke university, set up a street blockade outside Columbia's Broadway gates in a desperate attempt to interfere with federal immigration enforcement. But unlike the soft-on-crime approach we've seen from liberal officials, the NYPD wasn't having it.

Social media captured the satisfying moment when New York's finest moved in to restore order. "NYPD has started mass arrests after anti-ICE 'protesters' blocked the road outside Columbia University for over an hour," posted @TIRONiNAE_Z. "Arrest all of them! Everyone gets handcuffs!"

"About a dozen protesters are sitting in the street and NYPD are threatening arrest," reported @DivintyMary as the situation unfolded.

The arrests come as Democrats continue their shameless pandering to criminal illegal immigrants. Just last week, New York Governor Kathy Hochul proposed legislation that would effectively end local government cooperation with ICE – because apparently protecting American citizens isn't a priority for the radical left.

But here's what these Columbia snowflakes don't understand: Americans voted overwhelmingly for President Trump's America First agenda, including the largest deportation operation in U.S. history. These aren't "asylum seekers" or "dreamers" – they're foreign nationals who broke our laws and need to go home.

Columbia Spectator reporter Elliot Heath confirmed the final tally: "The NYPD arrested 12 anti-ICE protesters, including students and faculty, who had set up a street blockade outside Columbia's Broadway gates."

It's refreshing to see law enforcement actually enforce the law for once. While Democrat politicians virtue signal about "sanctuary cities," real Americans are dealing with the consequences of Biden's border crisis – from drug trafficking to human smuggling to violent crime.

These entitled activists can cry all they want, but the Trump administration has a mandate from the American people. When will the left finally accept that we're taking our country back?

Good for the NYPD! Question though - were these actually Columbia students or outside agitators? Either way, actions have consequences and they found out the hard way.

Usually it's a mix of both, but the outside groups are the ones really stirring things up.

Finally some common sense from NYPD! These protesters need to understand that blocking streets is illegal regardless of what cause you're pushing. ICE is doing their job protecting our borders and enforcing immigration law.

Exactly right! I'm tired of my tax dollars going to clean up after these disruptions.
