Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is launching an inappropriate attack on Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, demanding his resignation over business dealings with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein that occurred years before Lutnick joined the Trump administration.
In a Sunday appearance on CNN—the same network that constantly attacks President Trump—Massie called for congressional testimony from Lutnick after the latest Epstein files revealed past business connections. The Kentucky congressman is creating unnecessary controversy for Trump's team just ten days into the new administration.
Here's what Patriots need to understand: Lutnick's business dealings with Epstein occurred in his capacity as CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, long before he was tapped by President Trump for his current role. There's zero evidence of any wrongdoing or knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities.
Deep State Timing Suspicious
Isn't it convenient that these Epstein files are suddenly being released just as Trump begins implementing his America First agenda? The timing reeks of Deep State coordination designed to distract from the President's massive deportation operations and government efficiency reforms.
While Lutnick has been working tirelessly to advance Trump's trade policies and bring manufacturing jobs back to America, Massie is providing ammunition to the same mainstream media that spent four years trying to destroy Trump's first presidency.
"We need Commerce Secretary Lutnick focused on making America great again, not dealing with politically motivated witch hunts," one Trump administration source told Next News Network.
The American people voted overwhelmingly for Trump's team and his agenda. They didn't vote for congressional Republicans to create chaos and undermine the President's cabinet picks over decades-old business relationships.
Wrong Target, Wrong Time
If Massie wants to investigate Epstein connections, perhaps he should focus on the Democrats and Deep State operatives who actually covered up Epstein's crimes for years. Where was this same energy when the Biden crime family was selling out America to China?
President Trump needs his full team in place to deliver on his promises to secure the border, end the weaponization of government, and restore American prosperity. Republicans like Massie should be supporting that mission, not creating distractions that help the Left.
Will congressional Republicans finally unite behind Trump's agenda, or will they continue providing ammunition to his enemies?
