WOKE AGENDA: Super Bowl Singer Brandi Carlile Says She'll Represent 'Queer Community' During 'America the Beautiful'

Super Bowl organizers have handed the microphone for "America the Beautiful" to singer Brandi Carlile, who immediately made clear she plans to use the patriotic moment to advance her personal political agenda for "the queer community."

The 11-time Grammy winner told Variety that she sees her performance of the beloved patriotic song as a prime opportunity for LGBT activism on one of America's biggest stages. Instead of focusing on uniting Americans around our shared love of country, Carlile is turning the moment into identity politics theater.

This is exactly the kind of woke nonsense that patriots hoped we'd moved past under the Trump administration. While President Trump works to restore American greatness and bring the country together around our founding principles, the entertainment elite continues pushing divisive identity politics at every turn.

Missing the Point Entirely

"America the Beautiful" celebrates the majesty of our nation and the blessings of liberty that belong to ALL Americans. It's not meant to be a platform for any particular group's political messaging – it's supposed to honor the country that gives us all the freedom to live as we choose.

But leave it to Hollywood types to miss that entirely. Rather than using this moment to celebrate what unites us as Americans, Carlile wants to divide us into separate tribal categories.

"This represents an opportunity for the queer community," Carlile told Variety, making her intentions crystal clear.

Patriots across America are getting tired of having politics injected into every single cultural moment. We watch football to escape the constant barrage of woke messaging, not to get lectured about identity politics during what should be a celebration of American patriotism.

The NFL has struggled for years with falling ratings as fans tune out over political activism. You'd think they'd learn their lesson by now, but apparently the league is determined to keep alienating the very Americans who made football the nation's most popular sport.

Will patriotic Americans finally say enough is enough and demand that our national pastimes focus on what brings us together rather than what divides us?

I remember when performers would just sing patriotic songs without making it about their personal agenda. Will probably have to mute the TV during the anthem portion this year - hate doing that to my kids but don't want to explain why someone is using our national song as a platform.

Same here. It's getting harder to find family-friendly programming that doesn't push an agenda.

As someone who served, it really bothers me when our national songs get politicized like this.

Why can't we just have ONE event where politics and identity don't get shoved down our throats? America the Beautiful is supposed to unite us all as Americans, not divide us into groups.

Exactly! The Super Bowl used to be about football and bringing families together.
