Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger has been completely EXPOSED for running the oldest trick in the Democrat playbook – campaign as a moderate, then govern like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Washington Examiner chief political correspondent Byron York dropped a bombshell analysis comparing Spanberger's actual governing record to the radical progressive policies of AOC, despite her carefully crafted "moderate" image during the gubernatorial campaign.
"Spanberger campaigned in the Virginia gubernatorial race on a centrist platform, being portrayed in the media every day as a moderate," York explained. Yet her actions in office tell a completely different story – one of progressive radicalism that Virginia voters never signed up for.
This bait-and-switch shouldn't surprise anyone who's been paying attention to Democrat tactics. They know their radical agenda is toxic with regular Americans, so they lie during campaigns, present themselves as reasonable centrists, then immediately pivot left once safely in office.

Spanberger's 15% margin of victory in November came precisely because she successfully fooled Virginia voters into believing she represented sensible, moderate governance. The mainstream media was complicit in this deception, breathlessly promoting her "moderate" credentials while ignoring her true progressive intentions.
"Her actions mimic a progressive Democrat," York noted, highlighting the stark contrast between campaign promises and governing reality.
This is exactly why Americans can't trust a single word that comes out of Democrat politicians' mouths. They'll say whatever it takes to get elected, then immediately betray the voters who believed their lies.
Virginia families are now stuck with a governor who campaigned as a moderate but governs like she belongs in AOC's squad of radical progressives. From higher taxes to woke education policies, Spanberger is implementing the same failed agenda that's destroyed Democrat-run cities across the country.
The question every Virginia voter should be asking themselves: If Spanberger had to lie about who she really was to get elected, what else is she planning that she's not telling us? How long will patriots in the Old Dominion tolerate being deceived by Democrats who can't run on their real agenda?
