FLIP-FLOP: American Skier Goes from 'Mixed Emotions' to 'Cannot Wait' to Rep USA After Trump Takes Office

In what has to be one of the most dramatic about-faces in recent sports history, American skier Hunter Hess has completely reversed course on representing the United States - going from having "mixed emotions" about wearing the stars and stripes to suddenly claiming he "cannot wait" to compete for Team USA.

The timing of this flip-flop is impossible to ignore, Patriots. Just weeks after President Trump's inauguration and his restoration of American pride on the world stage, suddenly this athlete has found his patriotic spirit again. What a coincidence, right?

Hess's original hesitation about representing his own country speaks volumes about the toxic anti-American sentiment that festered under the Biden regime. For four long years, we watched as woke athletes were encouraged to hate their own nation, to kneel during the anthem, and to view America as some kind of oppressor rather than the land of the free.

The Trump Effect in Full Display

But now? Now that we have a president who actually loves America and puts America First? Suddenly representing Team USA doesn't seem so bad to Mr. Hess. This is the Trump effect, folks - when you have leadership that celebrates American greatness instead of apologizing for it, even the most conflicted souls start to remember what makes this country special.

This athlete's complete 180 is a microcosm of what's happening across America right now. Under Trump's strong leadership, patriotism is cool again. Loving your country is fashionable again. The dark cloud of Biden's anti-American leftism is lifting, and people are remembering why the United States is the greatest nation on Earth.

While we should welcome Hess's newfound appreciation for his homeland, let's not forget how quickly he was willing to trash-talk representing America when it was trendy to do so. True patriots don't need a change in administration to feel proud of their country - they love America through thick and thin.

This stunning reversal raises an important question: How many other athletes, celebrities, and public figures were simply following the woke mob's anti-American narrative because it was politically convenient? And how many more will suddenly "find their patriotism" now that Trump is making America great again?

Does anyone know which specific skier this is about? The article doesn't name names but I'm curious if it's someone who was vocal during the last Olympics.

Finally! This is what happens when athletes realize they can actually be proud to represent America again instead of having to apologize for it.

Exactly! Remember when our Olympians used to beam with pride on the podium? Looking forward to seeing that again.

My son serves overseas and this kind of flip-flopping really bothers me. Either you're proud to wear the flag or you're not - shouldn't depend on who's in the White House.

Thank your son for his service. I agree completely - patriotism shouldn't be conditional on politics.
