Patriots, they've done it again. The radical left has successfully memory-holed one of America's greatest heroes right under our noses, and most Americans don't even realize it's happening.

While millions of Americans will celebrate "Presidents Day" this February 16th, the truth is there is no such federal holiday. The actual name, enshrined in federal law, is "Washington's Birthday" - honoring the Father of our Country, not every president who came after him.

This isn't just bureaucratic nitpicking. This is systematic erasure of American greatness by the same forces that want to tear down Washington's statues and rename schools that bear his name. They can't attack Washington directly, so they dilute his legacy by lumping him in with every other president - including disasters like Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden.

The Woke War on Washington

For decades, retailers and cultural institutions have pushed the "Presidents Day" fiction to sanitize and genericize what should be a celebration of Washington's unparalleled contributions to human freedom. George Washington could have been king - instead, he voluntarily gave up power and established the peaceful transfer of authority that defines our Republic.

But that kind of virtue and self-sacrifice doesn't fit the left's narrative that America was founded by racist oppressors. So they've quietly shifted the focus from Washington specifically to all presidents generally, hoping Americans forget why February's holiday exists in the first place.

With America's 250th birthday approaching in 2026 under President Trump's leadership, now is the perfect time for Congress to clarify that February 16th honors George Washington - period. Not Lincoln (he gets his own day), not Jefferson, and certainly not Biden.

"Washington's character and sacrifice created the template for American leadership. Every American should know we're honoring him specifically, not giving participation trophies to failed presidents."

As we prepare for America's semiquincentennial celebration, we must reclaim our heritage from the woke revisionist historians who want to erase our founders. Washington's Birthday should honor Washington - full stop.

Will President Trump and this Republican Congress finally restore proper honor to the man who made America possible? Patriots are watching.

My grandfather fought in WWII and he always celebrated Washington's Birthday on February 22nd, not this generic 'Presidents Day' nonsense. We need to get back to honoring the man who made it all possible.

Does anyone know when exactly this change happened and who was behind it? I want to do more research on how they managed to erase Washington's individual recognition from our national consciousness.

I believe it was the Uniform Monday Holiday Act in 1968, but retailers started calling it Presidents Day to boost sales. Follow the money!

FINALLY someone is talking about this! I've been saying for years that changing Washington's Birthday to 'Presidents Day' was just another way to diminish our founding fathers. George Washington deserves his own day - he's the father of our nation, not just another president.

Exactly! They lump him in with every other president like he's not special. Washington literally created the precedent for peaceful transfer of power.
