New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani just proved that the left's "fight against antisemitism" is nothing more than political theater designed to protect their own radical allies while targeting conservatives and Israel supporters.
In what can only be described as a slap in the face to Jewish New Yorkers, Mamdani has appointed Phylisa Wisdom to lead the Mayor's Office to Combat Antisemitism - despite Wisdom's own documented history of antisemitic rhetoric and anti-Israel activism.
This isn't incompetence, folks. This is deliberate. Mamdani, who has maintained a consistently hostile stance toward Israel and has coddled the radical anti-Jewish elements within his progressive base, is now putting the fox in charge of the henhouse.
The Radical Left's Definition of "Fighting" Antisemitism
What we're witnessing is the weaponization of anti-antisemitism efforts to actually PROTECT real antisemites while going after anyone who dares support Israel or call out leftist Jew-hatred. Under this twisted logic, questioning Hamas is "Islamophobia" but calling for Israel's destruction is somehow "anti-racism."
Jewish New Yorkers who voted for this administration thinking they'd get protection from rising antisemitism are learning a hard lesson about the modern Democratic Party's priorities. When push comes to shove, they'll always choose their radical progressive allies over the safety and concerns of Jewish Americans.
"This appointment sends a clear message about where Mayor Mamdani's loyalties lie - and it's not with the Jewish community he swore to protect," said one concerned Jewish community leader who requested anonymity.
Meanwhile, President Trump's Justice Department has been cracking down on ACTUAL antisemites and ensuring that Jewish Americans feel safe in their communities. The contrast couldn't be starker between real leadership and this progressive pantomime playing out in New York City.
How long will Jewish New Yorkers tolerate being lectured about antisemitism by the very people who enable and promote it? And when will they finally realize that their safety depends on rejecting the radical left's empty promises?
