Hell has officially frozen over, folks. The New York Times—yes, that bastion of liberal propaganda—actually managed to interview a reasonable American about immigration without twisting their words into some woke pretzel of nonsense.
In what can only be described as a momentary lapse of their usual Trump Derangement Syndrome, the Times featured a business owner who dropped some hard truths that would make any patriotic American stand up and cheer. The interviewee didn't mince words: "They talk about the business owners in this country being the backbone of the country. But politicians don't believe that, or they don't act on that."
Finally, someone gets it.
While President Trump has been delivering on his promise of mass deportations and securing our border—much to the horror of the legacy media—this business owner represents the millions of Americans who've been screaming into the void for decades. We've watched politicians from both parties pay lip service to small business while flooding the country with illegal immigrants who undercut wages and strain our communities.
"They talk about the business owners in this country being the backbone of the country. But politicians don't believe that, or they don't act on that."
This is exactly why Trump won in a landslide in 2024. Real Americans are sick and tired of being lectured by coastal elites who never had to compete with illegal labor or watch their neighborhoods transform overnight. They're done with politicians who campaign on supporting business owners, then turn around and enable policies that destroy them.
The fact that the New York Times—of all publications—actually let this perspective see the light of day is nothing short of miraculous. Maybe there's hope for journalism yet, though we won't hold our breath waiting for them to make this a habit.
Under the Trump-Vance administration, we're finally seeing action that backs up the rhetoric. Secure borders, legal immigration only, and policies that put American workers and business owners first. It's what this country has been desperately needed for years.
Will the Times continue this shocking trend of interviewing actual Americans instead of their usual parade of open-borders activists? Don't count on it, patriots.
