A Democrat congresswoman facing federal charges for assaulting Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents completely lost her composure during a recent congressional hearing, raising serious questions about why House Democrats continue to allow an accused felon to serve in Congress.
Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) is currently under indictment for allegedly assaulting federal ICE agents while attempting to storm a federal immigration facility. What makes this case even more damning? The entire incident was captured on video, showing the New Jersey Democrat's brazen attack on law enforcement officers simply doing their jobs under President Trump's mass deportation agenda.
Yet instead of facing expulsion from Congress—as any Republican would in similar circumstances—McIver continues to use her taxpayer-funded platform to launch unhinged attacks against the very law enforcement agencies she's accused of assaulting.
Double Standard Exposed
This glaring hypocrisy perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with the swamp mentality that President Trump is working to drain. While Democrats spent years screaming about "threats to democracy" and "law and order," they're now protecting a colleague who literally attacked federal agents on camera.
"One might ask why Rep. LaMonica McIver hasn't been expelled from Congress, given she's charged with assaulting ICE agents while trying to storm a federal facility," noted RedState in their coverage of McIver's latest meltdown.
"Washington is a funny place, and for now, McIver is still allowed to grandstand from her position of power like everyone else."
This is the same party that claims to support law enforcement while simultaneously harboring an accused cop assaulter in their ranks. It's the same party that demands "accountability" for their political opponents while giving their own members a free pass to commit actual crimes.
Patriots should be asking themselves: if the roles were reversed and a Republican congressman was caught on video assaulting federal agents, how long would it take for Democrats and their media allies to demand immediate expulsion? We all know the answer—about five minutes.
McIver's continued presence in Congress represents everything Americans voted against in 2024. It's time for accountability, and it's time for Democrats to explain why they're protecting an alleged criminal in their ranks.
