A home invader in Tallahassee, Florida, picked the absolute wrong house to break into last Friday night—and paid the ultimate price for his criminal stupidity.
According to the Leon County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the 5400 block of Touraine Drive around 9:40 p.m. Friday and found a male suffering from a gunshot wound. But here's what the mainstream media won't tell you: this wasn't some tragic accident—this was JUSTICE in action.
Detectives determined the male entered the home uninvited and flat-out refused to leave after multiple requests from the homeowner. But it gets worse, folks. This brazen criminal then threatened the homeowner with a weapon and began advancing toward him in his own home.
Big mistake.
The homeowner, exercising his God-given and constitutionally protected right to defend his castle, opened fire on the intruder. And you know what? He was completely justified.
"Completely justified! Homeowners have a right to defend their property, their lives, and their families," supporters declared.
This is exactly what the Second Amendment is for, Patriots. Not hunting, not target practice—though those are great too—but for protecting innocent Americans from violent criminals who think they can just waltz into your home and threaten your family.
While liberal politicians in blue states are busy trying to disarm law-abiding citizens and coddle criminals, Florida continues to stand strong for homeowners' rights. This is what happens when states actually respect the Constitution instead of treating criminals like victims.
Florida's Stand Your Ground Law Works
Florida's robust self-defense laws send a clear message to would-be criminals: mess around in the Sunshine State and find out. Under Florida's Stand Your Ground law, citizens have no duty to retreat when faced with a threat in their own homes.
How many more innocent lives could be saved if every state had the backbone to protect law-abiding gun owners instead of criminalizing self-defense? This homeowner is alive today because Florida trusts its citizens to defend themselves—exactly as the Founding Fathers intended.
