Bush appointee, which tells you everything you need to know—temporarily blocked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth from stripping Arizona Democrat Senator Mark Kelly of his military rank and pay over a disgraceful video the former astronaut helped produce with five other Democrats.
The video in question urged active-duty servicemembers to potentially disobey what Kelly and his fellow Democrats termed "illegal orders" from President Trump—a clear violation of military chain of command and an unprecedented political interference in military affairs.
Democrats Playing Politics With National Security
Let's be crystal clear about what happened here: Six Democrat politicians, including Kelly, decided they knew better than the Commander-in-Chief and actively encouraged military personnel to second-guess lawful orders from their superiors. This isn't just political grandstanding—it's a direct attack on military discipline that keeps our armed forces functioning.
Secretary Hegseth was absolutely right to move against Kelly for this breach of military protocol. Kelly may be a senator now, but he still holds military rank and receives military benefits.
