The story of Eileen Gu perfectly captures everything wrong with America's elite class — born and raised in America, trained with American resources, then sold out to Communist China for a bigger payday while lecturing patriotic Americans about their politics.

When freestyle skier Hunter Hess used his Olympic platform to attack President Donald Trump, BlazeTV's Sara Gonzales didn't mince words: "You don't actually have to represent this country." She pointed to Gu as exhibit A of an athlete who took that advice literally.

"There is one Olympian who took that very seriously, actually, which was Eileen Gu," Gonzales noted. "So, she at the time expressed her support for Hunter Hess. You'll notice by her last name, Gu, she's competing for China, but that's not the whole story. She's actually American-born."

Here's what makes this betrayal even more infuriating: Gu didn't just quietly switch allegiances. She actively supported American athletes who used their platforms to bash the very country that gave them everything — including a president who put America First and fought to bring jobs back from China.

The Ultimate Sellout Story

Gu's decision to compete for China wasn't about heritage or identity — it was about cold, hard cash and easier competition. While American taxpayers funded the training facilities, coaching programs, and infrastructure that developed her skills, she took those talents to Beijing for a better deal.

This is the same China that steals American intellectual property, manipulates currency, and poses the greatest threat to American workers and national security. Yet Gu saw dollar signs and ran straight into the arms of the Chinese Communist Party.

"She took America's training, then cashed in for China while supporting athletes who trash Trump — the epitome of elite betrayal."

What's particularly galling is her support for athletes like Hess who use international competitions to attack President Trump — a leader who fought tirelessly against Chinese economic warfare and stood up for American workers.

Patriots, this is what we're up against: an elite class that takes everything America offers, then turns around to support our enemies while lecturing us about our politics. How many more Eileen Gus are out there, ready to sell out America for the highest bidder?

This is exactly what's wrong with our country today. These athletes take everything America gave them and then turn their backs on us for a quick payday.

Couldn't agree more Mike. It's all about the almighty dollar with these people.

My grandfather fought in Korea and would be rolling in his grave seeing this. How can you compete for a country that's actively working against American interests?

Does anyone know if there are legal implications for this? Can someone just switch countries like that when it's convenient?

Unfortunately it's completely legal. Olympic rules allow it with some waiting periods between countries.

Disgusting but not surprising. The left has been pushing this anti-American agenda for years and now we're seeing the results.

I remember when being an Olympian meant something - representing your country with pride and honor. Now it's just another business transaction.
