In what can only be described as political infiltration, a former Democrat and self-proclaimed "progressive" activist has brazenly entered a North Carolina Republican primary, openly admitting her goal is to "kick these corrupt cowards out of office."
Kate Barr, a behavioral scientist from Davidson who previously identified as a Democrat, announced she's challenging first-term Rep. Tim Moore (R-NC) in the March 3 Republican primary. But here's the kicker – Barr isn't hiding her leftist agenda. She's practically advertising it.
This is exactly the kind of RINO infiltration that has plagued the Republican Party for decades. Patriots in North Carolina need to wake up fast, because this isn't about legitimate conservative competition – this is about a wolf in sheep's clothing trying to fool GOP voters.
The Progressive Trojan Horse Strategy
Barr's strategy is as transparent as it is dangerous. She's banking on Republican voters being too distracted or uninformed to research her actual political background. The woman literally described herself as "progressive" but now wants to represent conservative North Carolina Republicans in Congress.
What's particularly infuriating is how she frames her candidacy as fighting "corruption" while engaging in the most corrupt political tactic imaginable – lying about your fundamental beliefs to get elected. If that's not corruption, what is?
Rep. Tim Moore, meanwhile, has been fighting for conservative values in Congress. While no politician is perfect, the choice between a proven Republican representative and a progressive activist masquerading as a conservative should be crystal clear.
"This is exactly why we need to stay vigilant about who's really representing our values," one local Republican activist told supporters.
North Carolina Republicans have a simple choice: support the actual Republican or fall for the progressive plant trying to steal a seat through deception. The March 3 primary will be a test of whether conservative voters are paying attention or if they'll be fooled by this obvious infiltration attempt.
The question every North Carolina patriot needs to ask is: If Barr is willing to lie about her political identity to get elected, what else will she lie about once she's in office?
