In yet another example of judicial activism run amok, a federal judge has blocked President Trump's entirely reasonable plan to transfer the 37 death row inmates that Joe Biden disgracefully commuted in his final weeks in office to ADX Florence - the maximum security "Alcatraz of the Rockies" in Colorado.
The ruling comes as Trump seeks to ensure that some of America's most dangerous criminals - who should have faced the ultimate punishment for their heinous crimes - are at least housed in conditions befitting their monstrous acts. Instead, this activist judge wants to keep these killers in their current, more comfortable accommodations.
Even the judge admitted these criminals were convicted of "some of the most horrific crimes imaginable," yet still chose to side with the murderers over public safety and common sense. This is the Biden justice system in action, folks - protecting the worst of the worst while everyday Americans suffer.
Biden's Last-Minute Gift to Killers
Remember, these aren't petty criminals we're talking about. Biden's mass commutation included terrorists, child killers, and mass murderers who destroyed countless American families. The former president's December decision was nothing short of a slap in the face to victims' families who had waited decades for justice.
Now Trump, doing what any rational leader would do, tried to ensure these monsters face appropriate consequences for their actions. Moving them to ADX Florence - where they belong alongside other terrorists and the most dangerous criminals - was the bare minimum after Biden stole their death sentences.
"This administration will not stand by while the most dangerous criminals in America are treated with kid gloves," a White House source told reporters.
But apparently, even that modest step toward justice is too much for our broken judicial system to handle.
How long will activist judges continue to prioritize the comfort of murderers over the safety and peace of mind of law-abiding Americans? This ruling is exactly why Trump's campaign to drain the swamp and restore law and order couldn't be more critical.
