Maryland's far-left Governor Wes Moore is having a full-blown meltdown after President Donald Trump disinvited him from a gubernatorial dinner, announcing Thursday he'll boycott the entire annual White House governors meeting like a petulant child.
Moore's dramatic tantrum perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with today's Democrat Party - when they can't control the narrative or get special treatment, they take their ball and go home. Instead of putting Maryland's interests first and attending the meeting to advocate for his constituents, Moore chose political theater over governing.
The Democrat governor claimed Trump "singled him out" from the dinner invitation, but maybe Moore should ask himself WHY he was disinvited in the first place. Could it be his constant attacks on the Trump administration? His radical progressive agenda that's destroying Maryland? His refusal to cooperate on border security and deportations of criminal illegal aliens?
Trump Putting America First, Not Coddling Radical Governors
President Trump isn't running some country club where anti-American governors get wined and dined while they actively work against his agenda to secure our borders and restore law and order. The President has made it crystal clear - if you want to obstruct his mandate from the American people, don't expect VIP treatment at the White House.
Moore's boycott is actually doing Maryland taxpayers a favor by showing his true priorities. Instead of fighting for Maryland jobs, infrastructure, or federal assistance, he's more concerned with his bruised ego and virtue signaling to his woke base.
"If the point of the meeting that he's singled me out and told me I'm disinvited from is to turn it into political theater, then I won't be part of that,"
The irony is rich - Moore claims he won't be part of "political theater" while literally staging political theater by boycotting the entire meeting. Classic Democrat projection at its finest.
This is exactly why Trump won in a landslide. Americans are sick of whiny politicians who put their feelings before their duty to serve. Maryland deserves better than a governor who abandons his responsibilities because he didn't get invited to the fancy dinner.
Maybe Moore should spend less time crying about dinner invitations and more time figuring out why Marylanders are fleeing his failing state for red states with actual leadership.
