Eileen Gu, the Benedict Arnold of Olympic skiing, is apparently shocked that Americans aren't rushing to support her after she chose to represent Communist China instead of the United States at the Olympics.

The California-born athlete, who grew up enjoying all the freedoms and opportunities America provides, decided those weren't good enough for her when Beijing came calling with their blood money and propaganda machine. Now she's "disappointed" that people aren't lining up to help manage her "packed schedule."

What did she expect? That patriotic Americans would cheer for someone who literally turned her back on the country that raised her to ski for a brutal communist regime that oppresses its own people, commits genocide against Uyghurs, and threatens Taiwan daily?

The Ultimate Betrayal

Gu's decision to compete for China wasn't just about sports – it was a slap in the face to every American who believes in loyalty, patriotism, and standing with your own country. She chose the glitter of Chinese sponsorship deals over representing the red, white, and blue.

"This is what happens when you prioritize money and fame over love of country," said one social media user responding to Gu's complaints. "You made your bed with the communists, now lie in it."

Under President Trump's leadership, America is putting America First again – something Eileen Gu clearly never understood. While real patriots are working to make our nation stronger, she's busy serving as a propaganda tool for our biggest geopolitical rival.

The Trump administration has been crystal clear about standing up to China's influence operations and protecting American interests. Meanwhile, Gu continues to play right into Beijing's hands while expecting sympathy from the very Americans she abandoned.

Maybe if she spent less time cozying up to communist dictators and more time remembering where she came from, she'd understand why real Americans aren't interested in supporting her anymore. Actions have consequences – and choosing China over America is about as consequential as it gets.

She made her choice when she took those Chinese endorsement dollars. You can't have it both ways - either you represent America or you don't.

Exactly! Actions have consequences and she's learning that the hard way.

My daughter is also an athlete and I can't imagine her turning her back on the country that gave her every opportunity. What kind of values are we teaching our kids when we celebrate people who choose money over patriotism?

Your daughter sounds like she has better character than some Olympic athletes. Keep raising her right!

It starts at home - sounds like you're doing something right that Eileen's parents clearly didn't.
