In a stunning admission that exposes just how radical the Democrat Party has become on election integrity, even Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is now backing away from his party's extremist opposition to voter identification requirements.
Washington Examiner senior writer Joe Concha praised Fetterman for being "the voice of reason" within the Democrat Party after the Pennsylvania senator refused to buy into the left's hysteria over the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, which would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections.
While his fellow Democrats shriek about "Jim Crow 2.0" - their go-to scare tactic whenever anyone mentions election security - Fetterman had the audacity to state the obvious: requiring ID to vote "is not" comparable to historical voting restrictions.
"Fetterman is on the side of 84% of Americans who support voter ID requirements," Concha noted, highlighting just how disconnected the Democrat establishment has become from the American people.
Think about that for a moment, patriots. We live in a country where you need an ID to buy alcohol, board a plane, or even enter a government building - but suggesting you should show ID to participate in the most fundamental right of citizenship somehow makes you a racist according to the radical left.
This isn't rocket science, folks. Every functioning democracy on Earth requires some form of voter identification. But here in America, the same Democrats who demand vaccine passports to eat at restaurants suddenly develop amnesia when it comes to verifying who's casting ballots in our elections.
Even Democrats Can't Ignore Reality Forever
Fetterman's break with party orthodoxy signals something significant: the Democrat Party's position on election integrity has become so extreme that even their own members are starting to distance themselves from the madness.
When 84% of Americans - including Democrats, Republicans, and independents - support something as basic as voter ID, you know the radical left has lost the plot entirely.
