Benitez-Thompson, who currently serves as chief of staff to Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford, is betting that Democrats can flip this traditionally red district. But she might want to check the calendar – it's 2026, and President Trump's second-term momentum is steamrolling across America.
The Democratic operative believes the 2nd District represents a "pickup opportunity" for her party. What she's really banking on is that Nevada voters have forgotten the disaster of the Biden years – the inflation, the border chaos, the woke policies that nearly destroyed our nation.
Reality Check: This Isn't Biden's America Anymore
Here's what Benitez-Thompson doesn't seem to understand: Americans have already spoken. They delivered a decisive victory to President Trump and Republican candidates across the nation in 2024 because they were sick and tired of Democratic failures.
While she's been playing politics in the attorney general's office, Trump has been delivering real results. Mass deportations are cleaning up our communities. Tariffs are bringing jobs back to America. The deep state is being dismantled piece by piece.
Nevada's 2nd District stretches across rural and suburban areas where hardworking Americans understand the difference between Trump's America First agenda and the Democrats' radical leftist policies. These are folks who care about secure borders, affordable energy, and constitutional rights – not whatever woke nonsense the Democratic Party is peddling these days.
