The chickens are finally coming home to roost for one violent leftist who thought he could attack federal agents without consequences. Elpidio Reyna, 41, pleaded guilty Tuesday to assaulting a federal officer after hurling rocks through a car window and injuring a Customs and Border Protection officer during last summer's anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles County.

Reyna admitted to one count of assault with a deadly or dangerous weapon resulting in bodily injury – a federal crime that could land him behind bars for years. This case perfectly illustrates the difference between peaceful protest and criminal violence that the left loves to blur.

When 'Peaceful Protest' Turns Criminal

While Democrats and their media allies spent months defending these anti-ICE demonstrations as 'grassroots activism,' the reality on the ground told a different story. Federal agents trying to do their jobs – protecting America's borders and enforcing immigration law – were met with rocks, bottles, and violent mobs.

The injured CBP officer was simply doing what President Trump's administration has empowered them to do: enforce federal immigration law and secure our borders. But for radical leftists like Reyna, apparently any enforcement of immigration law justifies violence against federal agents.

This guilty plea comes at a time when the Trump-Vance administration is ramping up deportation operations nationwide. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has made it clear that attacks on federal agents will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The Price of Leftist Violence

Reyna's case should serve as a warning to other would-be rioters: the days of attacking federal agents without serious consequences are over. Under Trump's leadership, we're seeing real accountability for those who think they can intimidate ICE and CBP officers with violence.

While exact sentencing details weren't immediately available, federal assault charges against law enforcement officers carry serious prison time. Reyna traded a few moments of leftist rage for what could be years behind bars – not exactly a winning strategy.

This is what winning looks like, Patriots. When you attack federal agents enforcing our immigration laws, you face real consequences. How many more anti-ICE rioters will think twice before throwing rocks at our border agents now?

I have a friend who's a Border Patrol agent and the stuff he tells me about what they face from these anti-ICE radicals is absolutely insane. These agents are just doing their jobs protecting our country and enforcing our laws. Glad to see justice finally being served.

About time! These violent rioters need to understand there are real consequences for attacking federal officers. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Exactly right. The message needs to be crystal clear - you attack law enforcement, you face the music.
