The radical left's violent assault on our immigration enforcement officers is finally catching up with them. Elpidio Reyna, a 41-year-old anti-ICE rioter who brutally injured a Customs and Border Protection officer by hurling rocks through a car window during last summer's chaotic protests in Los Angeles County, pleaded guilty Tuesday to assaulting a federal officer.
This case perfectly illustrates the dangerous extremism of the open-borders crowd. While President Trump works tirelessly to secure our nation and protect American families through proper immigration enforcement, radical leftists like Reyna resort to violence against the very officers risking their lives to keep us safe.
Reyna admitted to one count of assault with a deadly or dangerous weapon resulting in bodily injury – a federal crime that carries serious consequences. The injured CBP officer was simply doing his job, protecting our border and enforcing the laws that Congress passed and the President is sworn to uphold.
The Left's War on Law Enforcement Continues
This incident wasn't an isolated case of leftist violence. The anti-ICE riots that swept through Democrat-controlled cities represented a coordinated attack on federal law enforcement officers who were simply carrying out their constitutional duties. These weren't "peaceful protests" – they were violent assaults on the rule of law itself.
Under the Biden regime, this kind of anti-law enforcement extremism was practically encouraged. Radical Democrats spent years demonizing ICE agents and border patrol officers, creating the toxic environment that led to attacks like this one.
Now, under President Trump's restored leadership, we're finally seeing accountability. Federal prosecutors are taking these assaults on our officers seriously, and violent criminals like Reyna are facing the full consequences of their actions.
Patriots across America should celebrate this victory for law and order. Every ICE agent, every border patrol officer, and every federal law enforcement professional deserves to go home safely to their families each night. They shouldn't have to dodge rocks thrown by radical leftists who hate America's sovereignty.
How many more of these anti-American extremists need to face justice before the left learns that violence against our law enforcement heroes will never be tolerated?
