The gloves came off Tuesday night as Texas Republican heavyweights slugged it out on the debate stage, all vying to replace Attorney General Ken Paxton in what promises to be one of the most consequential GOP primaries in the Lone Star State.

Hosted by Blaze Media's Allie Beth Stuckey—one of the few conservative voices willing to give these candidates a real grilling—the debate featured all four major Republican contenders, including firebrand Congressman Chip Roy and attorney Aaron Reitz, along with state senators competing for the critical law enforcement position.

Roy, known for his no-nonsense approach to fighting the deep state in Congress, didn't hold back when attacking his opponents' qualifications and commitment to conservative principles. The tension was palpable as candidates questioned each other's legal experience and track records defending constitutional rights.

Battle for Conservative Credibility

What made this debate particularly explosive was the direct confrontation over who has the guts to actually fight for Texans against federal overreach. With accusations of "loser mentality" flying across the stage, it's clear these Republicans understand the stakes.

Texas has been ground zero for the battle against Biden's radical agenda over the past four years, and now with Trump back in the White House, the next AG will play a crucial role in advancing America First policies at the state level.

"This is about who has the backbone to stand up to the establishment and deliver real results for Texas families," one candidate fired back during heated exchanges about legal credentials.

Stuckey deserves credit for hosting what she called "the only debate to feature all four Republican candidates"—something the mainstream media and RINO establishment probably hoped wouldn't happen. They prefer backroom deals over letting voters see who's really fighting for them.

With Paxton's tenure ending, Texas Republicans have a golden opportunity to elect someone who will continue the Lone Star State's tradition of leading the fight against federal tyranny. But they need to choose wisely—because weak-kneed candidates need not apply in Trump's America.

The question for Texas voters: Which candidate has the proven track record and fighting spirit to take on the swamp and win?

Finally! We need fighters in the AG office, not establishment RINOs who cave to the left every time. Paxton has been one of the few willing to take on the deep state and actually WIN cases.

Agreed 100%. Look at his track record on election integrity and border security - that's what real conservative leadership looks like.

Who exactly are the main challengers being discussed here? The article mentions 'GOP heavyweights' but I'd like to know more about their conservative credentials before making any judgments.

From what I've heard, there are rumors about some big names considering a run, but nobody has officially announced yet.

These 'loser mentality' accusations are spot on. I'm tired of Republicans who are more worried about what the media thinks than actually fighting for our values.

This is exactly what we DON'T need right now - infighting while the Dems are trying to flip Texas blue. We should be united, not tearing each other apart in primaries.
