DEMOCRATS ADMIT DEFEAT: Lib Rep Says Trump 'Has All the Cards' in DHS Showdown

The mask is slipping, Patriots. Democrat Rep. Lou Correa of California just admitted what we all knew - President Trump holds all the cards in the current Department of Homeland Security funding standoff, and the desperate Democrats know they're fighting a losing battle.

During Thursday's CNN International broadcast, Correa let the truth slip out when discussing the DHS shutdown situation. The California liberal acknowledged that "the White House has a lot of the cards on this one" because ICE - Immigration and Customs Enforcement - remains fully funded regardless of the political theater.

"That's why we have to hold firm," Correa pleaded, sounding more like a general rallying demoralized troops than a confident legislator.

What Correa won't tell you is WHY Trump has all the leverage: because the American people voted decisively for mass deportations and border security. The 2024 election wasn't close, and Trump's mandate is crystal clear.

Democrats Playing Weak Hand Against Trump's Deportation Steamroller

Here's the beautiful irony - the very agency Democrats are trying to defund or control is the one carrying out Trump's promise to remove illegal aliens from our communities. ICE agents are working around the clock, and no amount of Democrat obstruction can stop them when they're properly funded.

Correa's admission reveals the panic setting in among House Democrats. They passed what he called a "big, beautiful bill last year" - clearly mocking Trump's language - but now they're discovering that elections have consequences.

The Trump-Vance administration isn't backing down from their America First agenda, and why should they? Secretary Kristi Noem at DHS knows exactly what needs to be done, and she has the full support of a president who keeps his promises.

While Democrats "hold firm" to their open borders ideology, Trump is holding firm to his commitment to the American people. Guess which position has more support from actual citizens who are tired of being invaded by illegal aliens?

The question isn't whether Trump will win this showdown - it's how badly the Democrats will lose face when they inevitably cave to reality.

Finally! It's about time Democrats realized they can't keep playing games with border security. Trump has been consistent on this issue from day one.

Love seeing Trump in a position of strength here! Question though - what specific leverage does he have in these negotiations?

Control of the executive branch and the mandate from voters. Democrats know they lost on this issue big time.

As someone who worked the border for 15 years, I can tell you we NEED strong leadership on DHS. The chaos I witnessed under the previous administration was heartbreaking for our agents.

This is what happens when you elect someone who actually follows through on campaign promises. Democrats are scrambling because they know their open border policies were rejected by voters.

Spot on! The mandate was crystal clear on immigration and border security.
