A resurfaced interview has California conservatives asking tough questions about gubernatorial candidate Chad Bianco after the Riverside County Sheriff revealed he supports creating a "path to citizenship" for illegal immigrants currently living in the United States.
The November interview with Pastura California shows Bianco taking a stance that sounds more like something you'd hear from a Democrat than a Republican running in the era of Trump's mass deportation agenda. While President Trump and his administration are working tirelessly to secure our border and remove those who entered illegally, Bianco apparently thinks rewarding lawbreakers with citizenship is the answer.
This revelation comes at the worst possible time for any Republican candidate. With the Trump-Vance administration successfully implementing the largest deportation operation in American history, conservatives expect their leaders to stand firmly behind America First immigration policies – not offer amnesty disguised as "reform."
Another RINO in Sheriff's Clothing?
Patriots in California are rightfully skeptical. How many times have we seen Republicans talk tough on immigration during campaign season, only to cave to the establishment once in office? Bianco's position puts him dangerously close to the failed policies that got us into this mess in the first place.
The timing couldn't be worse for Bianco's campaign. While sheriffs across the country are partnering with ICE to remove dangerous criminals who entered illegally, their colleague in Riverside County is talking about giving them citizenship. It's exactly the kind of weak-kneed Republican response that drove voters to embrace Trump's no-nonsense approach to immigration.
"We need leaders who will support President Trump's agenda, not undermine it with amnesty schemes that reward illegal behavior," one California conservative activist told supporters.
California Republicans have a choice to make in this primary: Do they want a candidate who stands with Trump's proven immigration policies, or someone who thinks illegal immigrants deserve a "path to citizenship" while legal immigrants wait years to enter our country the right way?
The answer should be obvious to any America First conservative. California needs leaders who will help President Trump secure our border – not politicians who sound suspiciously like the Democrats they're supposed to be defeating.
