Just weeks into President Trump's second term, two of the most prominent open-borders Democrats are suddenly singing a very different tune about immigration – and conservatives aren't buying it for a second.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and ex-President Barack Obama have both made recent statements acknowledging that mass immigration has gone "too far" and caused disruption. At the Munich Security Conference in Germany on February 14, Clinton admitted there's a "legitimate reason to have a debate about things like migration."
"It went too far. It's been disruptive and destabilizing, and it needs to be fixed in a humane way with secure borders that don't torture and kill people," Clinton said.
But conservative commentator John Doyle isn't falling for this apparent change of heart, calling it exactly what it is – a calculated political scam.
"Don't be fooled by this sudden border awakening from the left. This is the same Hillary Clinton who called for open borders, and the same Obama who flooded our communities with illegal immigrants for eight years."
The timing of these statements is particularly suspicious. After years of calling Trump's border policies "racist" and "xenophobic," these Democrat leaders are now parroting his exact talking points – but only after he's back in the White House implementing real solutions.
Too Little, Too Late
Where were these concerns when Biden was allowing millions of illegal aliens to pour across our southern border? Where was Clinton's worry about "disruption" when American communities were being overrun with drugs, crime, and human trafficking?
Patriots know the truth: Democrats only care about borders when they're losing elections. This isn't a genuine policy evolution – it's damage control as they watch Trump successfully implement the mass deportation program they spent years demonizing.
The American people have already spoken. We chose secure borders, legal immigration, and America First policies. No amount of election-year border theater from failed Democrat politicians will change that reality.
