The mask has completely slipped off the so-called "newspaper of record." Following the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano-Cortina, the New York Times and their subsidiary The Athletic have once again proven they hate America more than they love journalism.
While our heroic U.S. Men's Hockey team brought home GOLD for America, what did the Times focus on? Gushing praise for Eileen Gu, the American-born skier who sold out her own country to represent Communist China's brutal regime.
The Times described Gu as "cosmopolitan" – apparently their code word for "Benedict Arnold." Meanwhile, they couldn't find a single positive word to say about the American hockey heroes who actually represented the red, white, and blue with pride.
The Double Standard Is Disgusting
Let's be crystal clear about what's happening here, Patriots. The Times is celebrating an athlete who chose to compete for a regime that:
• Commits genocide against the Uyghurs
• Operates concentration camps
• Threatens Taiwan daily
• Steals American jobs and technology
• Released COVID-19 on the world
But somehow, representing THAT country makes you "cosmopolitan" in the eyes of America's most prestigious newspaper?
"This is exactly the kind of anti-American bias that President Trump has been exposing for years. The mainstream media would rather praise Communist China than celebrate American excellence."
Meanwhile, our hockey team – young men who trained their entire lives to represent America on the world's biggest stage – get treated like second-class citizens by our own media.
Why This Matters
This isn't just sports coverage, folks. This is about whose side the mainstream media is really on. When push comes to shove, they'll choose globalist "cosmopolitans" over patriotic Americans every single time.
Under President Trump's second term, we're finally seeing America First policies that put our athletes, our workers, and our values ahead of China's interests. Too bad our own media hasn't gotten the memo.
The question every American should be asking: If the New York Times won't even root for Team USA at the Olympics, why should we trust them on anything else?
