Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson—the same radical leftist whose city has become a war zone under his failed leadership—took to NBC's "Meet the Press NOW" Wednesday to attack President Trump's wildly successful mass deportation program.
Johnson whined that Trump is "focused on dividing people by whether they are documented or undocumented," completely missing the point that there's supposed to be a difference between legal citizens and illegal aliens who broke our laws to get here.
This is the same mayor whose sanctuary city policies have turned Chicago into a hellscape of violence, where law-abiding Americans can't walk the streets safely while resources are diverted to house and feed illegal immigrants who have no right to be here in the first place.
"Trump could pass legislation to ensure a pathway to citizenship," Johnson reportedly suggested, pushing the same tired amnesty talking points that Americans decisively rejected in 2024.
Let's get something straight: there IS no division here except the one Democrats created by refusing to enforce our immigration laws for decades. President Trump isn't "dividing" anyone—he's simply doing what every president should do: protecting American citizens and enforcing the law.
The Real Division: Patriots vs. Lawbreakers
Johnson's twisted logic would have you believe that distinguishing between legal immigrants and illegal border jumpers is somehow "divisive." What's actually divisive is allowing millions of unvetted foreign nationals to flood into our communities, drain our resources, and compete with American workers for jobs.
While Trump's deportation operations are removing dangerous criminals and immigration violators, Johnson is more concerned about protecting people who shouldn't be here in the first place. Meanwhile, his own constituents—actual American citizens—suffer from skyrocketing crime rates and failing city services.
This is exactly why Trump won such a decisive victory in 2024. Americans are sick and tired of radical mayors like Johnson putting illegal aliens ahead of their own citizens. We voted for law and order, not open borders chaos.
The only thing "divisive" here is Johnson's refusal to put Americans first. How's that working out for Chicago, Mayor?
