RIDICULOUS: Team USA Hockey Stars GRILLED by Woke Canadian Media Over Trump Victory Call

Team USA's Olympic hockey heroes are being dragged through the mud by woke Canadian reporters who can't stand the fact that President Donald Trump called to congratulate America's gold medalists—and that our boys actually enjoyed talking to their Commander-in-Chief.

The manufactured controversy erupted after Trump phoned the victorious Team USA locker room Sunday following their dominant gold medal performance. During the celebratory call, the President apparently cracked a joke that sent the players into laughter—a completely normal reaction that has somehow become an international incident thanks to triggered leftist media.

Now these world-class athletes are being subjected to hostile interrogations by Canadian sports reporters who seem more interested in attacking Trump than celebrating athletic excellence. One particularly obnoxious Canadian journalist had the audacity to demand explanations from our Olympic champions about why they dared to laugh during a conversation with the President of the United States.

"Why would you laugh?" the reporter pressed, as if enjoying a moment with the leader of the free world was somehow offensive.

The relentless media pressure has been so intense that at least one Team USA player actually apologized, saying "If we were to do it again, I think we wouldn't do that, and we made a mistake." What mistake? Showing respect and having a good time with their President after achieving the pinnacle of their sport?

This is exactly the kind of Trump Derangement Syndrome that patriots have come to expect from the international left-wing media machine. These are American heroes who just brought home Olympic gold, and instead of celebration, they're getting lectured by foreign journalists who can't handle Trump's popularity.

When even a congratulatory phone call from the President becomes controversial, you know the media has completely lost its mind. Our athletes shouldn't have to apologize for representing America with pride or for enjoying a moment of triumph with President Trump.

How long will our Olympic champions continue to be harassed simply for accepting congratulations from their own President?

I coached youth hockey for 15 years and this kind of political harassment would never fly at any level. These players are representing America - of course they'd congratulate the president-elect!

Great point coach. Politics aside, it's basic respect for the office.

Good for Team USA! 🇺🇸 Don't let the woke media intimidate you into being ashamed of your own country.

Does anyone know which specific reporters were asking these questions? I'd like to know which outlets to avoid supporting.

Looked like CBC and TSN reporters from what I could see in the video clips.

What happened to just letting sports be sports? Now our athletes can't even show patriotism without getting grilled by foreign journalists.

The bias is so obvious it's painful to watch. Imagine if they'd called Biden - would there be any controversy at all?

Absolutely ridiculous! These are AMERICAN athletes who have every right to celebrate their country's president without being attacked by foreign media.

Exactly! Since when do we need Canada's permission to support our own president?

Why are Canadian reporters even asking American athletes about domestic US politics? Stay in your lane, Canada.
