In yet another stunning display of Democratic "leadership," Washington state House Majority Leader Joe Fitzgibbon had to issue a groveling apology after showing up drunk to an official budget hearing, slurring his words like a college freshman at his first kegger.
The embarrassing spectacle unfolded during what should have been serious deliberations about taxpayer dollars. Instead, Washingtonians got to watch their elected Democrat "leader" stumble through official business while clearly under the influence.
Fitzgibbon later admitted he had consumed alcohol before the hearing – because apparently that's what passes for professional conduct in the Democratic Party these days. His slurred speech was so obvious that even his fellow Democrats couldn't cover for him.
This Is Your Brain on Liberalism
Is anyone really surprised? This is the same party that gave us Nancy Pelosi's bizarre press conferences, AOC's unhinged rants, and now a majority leader who thinks happy hour comes before official government business.
While President Trump and his administration are working around the clock to restore American greatness, Democrats are literally drunk on the job. The contrast couldn't be clearer – serious leadership versus whatever this trainwreck represents.
Patriots in Washington state deserve better than elected officials who show up to work impaired. They deserve representatives who take their constitutional duties seriously, not party-first politicians who treat governance like amateur hour.
"This incident perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with today's Democratic Party – no accountability, no professionalism, and zero respect for the taxpayers they're supposed to serve."
The fact that Fitzgibbon felt comfortable enough to drink before official business tells you everything about the culture of corruption and carelessness that defines modern Democrats. They've become so arrogant, so disconnected from reality, that basic professional standards are now optional.
How many other Democrat officials are governing while impaired? How many critical decisions affecting hardworking Americans are being made by people who shouldn't be trusted with car keys, let alone legislative power?
Washington state voters need to remember this disgraceful episode when election time comes around. America deserves leaders who show up sober, prepared, and ready to serve – not whatever this disaster represents.
