When you have to promise voters your political party will become "more culturally normal," you've already admitted you're weird as hell. That's exactly what California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom did this week, desperately trying to rebrand his party after Trump's decisive victory exposed just how out of touch Democrats have become with everyday Americans.
In a CNN interview that should terrify every progressive activist in America, Newsom essentially threw the radical transgender lobby under the bus, admitting it's a "substantial liability" for Democrats that most voters don't share their sick obsession with mutilating children and destroying women's sports.
Think about that for a moment, patriots. The same party that spent years calling parents "domestic terrorists" for opposing drag queen story hours is now scrambling to appear normal. The same Democrats who celebrated men competing against women and branded anyone who objected as "transphobic" are suddenly concerned about being culturally mainstream.
Too Little, Too Late for the Radical Left
Here's the problem with Newsom's pathetic attempt at damage control: you can't put the woke genie back in the bottle. For years, Democrats embraced every lunatic fringe position imaginable - from defunding police to promoting gender confusion in elementary schools. Now that Trump is back in the White House with a mandate to restore sanity, suddenly they want to appear reasonable?
The American people aren't buying it. We watched Democrats destroy our cities, indoctrinate our children, and attack our most basic values. We saw them prioritize illegal immigrants over American families and celebrate the sexualization of kids in the name of "progress."
"When your party's positions are so extreme that even Gavin Newsom admits they're culturally abnormal, you know the Democrat brand is toxic," said one Republican strategist.
This desperate pivot proves President Trump was right all along - the radical left went too far, and now they're paying the political price. But don't expect this leopard to change its spots. Newsom and his fellow Democrats will say whatever it takes to regain power, then go right back to pushing their anti-American agenda.
The question is: will voters fall for this obvious con job, or have they learned their lesson about trusting Democrats who suddenly discover "normal" when their backs are against the wall?
