Patriots, don't pop the champagne just yet. While HBO's upcoming 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' might dodge the worst excesses of Hollywood's woke agenda, it's hardly the conservative cultural triumph America desperately needs in 2026.
The new Game of Thrones spinoff has been praised by some as 'non-woke' – a low bar that shows just how far our entertainment industry has fallen under leftist control. Sure, it's refreshing that viewers won't be subjected to rainbow flags in medieval fantasy or lectures about 'toxic masculinity' from dragon riders. But let's be honest, folks: avoiding woke poison isn't the same as promoting American values.
"While A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms might be 'non-woke,' it's not the explicitly conservative piece of pop culture we need," reports The Federalist, cutting through the premature victory celebrations.
This is exactly the kind of cultural trap conservatives have fallen into for decades. We get so excited when Hollywood doesn't actively hate us that we mistake neutrality for victory. Meanwhile, the left continues pumping out content that undermines faith, family, and patriotism across every other platform.
Under President Trump's second term, we're winning big on policy – mass deportations are underway, the border wall is being completed, and Elon Musk's DOGE is slashing government waste. But the culture war? We're still playing defense while Hollywood executives laugh all the way to the bank.
What conservatives need isn't just the absence of woke messaging – we need explicitly pro-American, pro-family content that celebrates our values instead of apologizing for them. We need stories that honor our military, our faith, and our founding principles.
Instead of settling for scraps from the same industry that spent years calling us deplorable, maybe it's time to demand actual conservative content. Or better yet, create it ourselves.
Are we really going to celebrate Hollywood not spitting in our faces, or are we going to build something better?
