The liberal establishment's desperate attempt to flip Texas red took another comical turn this weekend when failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris and rap artist Cardi B announced their endorsements for far-left Rep. Jasmine Crockett in her Senate primary race.
Because nothing says "I understand Texas values" quite like getting the stamp of approval from a California progressive who couldn't even win her own party's nomination and a rapper whose claim to fame includes songs that can't be played on family radio.
Crockett, who represents a gerrymandered Dallas district, is facing off against former middle school teacher James Talarico in what Democrats hope will be their ticket to flipping the Lone Star State. But if they think Texans are going to be swayed by Hollywood elites and washed-up politicians, they've got another thing coming.
The Kiss of Death Endorsements
Harris, who famously told Americans they were "unburdened by what has been" while burdening them with inflation and open borders, apparently believes her toxic brand will somehow help Crockett. This is the same Kamala who couldn't connect with voters nationwide but thinks she can appeal to independent-minded Texans.
Meanwhile, Cardi B's endorsement comes complete with her signature "Okurrr" catchphrase – because nothing screams serious political discourse like internet slang from a celebrity who likely couldn't find Texas on a map without GPS.
"Y'all heard my good sis!!! She's on a SOLD OUT tour and still took a minute to tap in," the rapper posted, apparently confusing political campaigns with concert tours.
The endorsements reveal everything wrong with today's Democratic Party: out-of-touch coastal elites trying to tell hardworking Americans in flyover states how to vote. It's the same playbook that failed spectacularly in 2024 when President Trump swept back into office with a mandate from real Americans who rejected exactly this kind of celebrity politics.
Texas patriots should ask themselves: Do they want a Senator endorsed by the architects of the Biden administration's disasters, or do they want to keep Texas red and support President Trump's America First agenda? The choice couldn't be clearer.
