The Biden-appointed deep state is already showing its true colors, with federal Judge Jia Cobb blocking Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem from implementing basic security protocols at Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facilities.
Judge Cobb, a Biden appointee from the notoriously liberal D.C. District Court, upheld a restraining order Tuesday that prevents DHS from requiring lawmakers to give adequate notice before visiting ICE detention sites. The Trump administration had implemented the reasonable requirement that members of Congress provide at least a week's notice before conducting facility visits.
But apparently, common-sense security measures are too much for the administrative state to handle when it comes to protecting America's immigration enforcement operations.
Democrats Cry 'Obstruction' Over Basic Security
This isn't about transparency – it's about Democrats maintaining their ability to conduct surprise ambush visits designed to create media spectacles and undermine ICE operations. Remember Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's theatrical performance at border facilities during Trump's first term? That's exactly what these unannounced visits are designed to enable.
Secretary Noem was implementing a perfectly reasonable policy to ensure ICE facilities can properly prepare for congressional visits while maintaining security protocols. But Biden's judicial activists can't stand the thought of Trump's team having any control over immigration enforcement.
The ruling represents another example of how Obama and Biden judicial appointees continue to obstruct common-sense immigration policies from the bench.
This is the same playbook the deep state used throughout Trump's first term – weaponizing the courts to block every single immigration enforcement measure, no matter how reasonable or necessary for national security.
The Administrative State Strikes Back
Patriots shouldn't be surprised by this judicial activism. The D.C. District Court has become ground zero for left-wing judges who see their role as blocking Trump's agenda rather than interpreting the law fairly.
Secretary Noem and the Trump administration have every right to implement security protocols at federal facilities. The fact that a Biden judge thinks unannounced congressional visits take precedence over facility security shows exactly whose side the deep state is on.
How long will Americans tolerate unelected judges undermining our democratically elected president's immigration enforcement agenda?
