In yet another display of political incompetence, failed Vice President Kamala Harris found herself scrambling to save face after backing the losing candidate in Texas's Democratic Senate primary—then awkwardly pivoting to support the winner she initially snubbed.
Harris originally threw her weight behind Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) in the primary race, but when state representative James Talarico emerged victorious on Tuesday, the woman who couldn't even make it to Iowa in 2020 suddenly discovered Talarico deserved her "full support."
Social media users were quick to call out the flip-flop.
"Kamala Harris Intervenes at Last Second in TX Dem Senate Race, Endorses Jasmine Crockett,"posted @PatrioticGrams, highlighting Harris's initial miscalculation.
But after Talarico's victory became clear, Harris was singing a different tune entirely. According to @thevotercast, Harris suddenly proclaimed:
"I congratulate James Talarico for his win, and the inspiring campaign he continues to build. I appreciate that he is making the case for the kind of civic..."
Democrats in Disarray
This embarrassing about-face perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with today's Democratic Party—they can't even pick winners in their own primaries! Harris, desperate to remain relevant after her humiliating 2024 defeat, tried to play kingmaker and failed spectacularly.
Despite backing the wrong horse, Harris had the audacity to claim the primary results showed Democrats were "energized like never before" and ready to "achieve something historic." Really, Kamala? Is political malpractice your idea of being "energized"?
The whole fiasco raises serious questions: If Harris can't even read the political tea leaves in a Democratic primary, why should anyone trust her judgment on anything? And what does this say about the Democrat establishment's complete disconnect from their own base?
Patriots watching this unfold should take note—this is the same political party that wants to lecture Americans about competence and leadership while they can't even manage their own internal affairs without stepping on rakes.
