The Democrats' new Senate nominee in Texas has some serious explaining to do. State Rep. James Talarico, who just secured the Democratic nomination after defeating Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the primary, made jaw-dropping comments in 2021 claiming there are "six really common biological sexes" — not the two that actual science recognizes.

Talarico made these scientifically absurd declarations during a heated Texas State Legislature debate over a common-sense measure to ban biological men from competing in women's sports. The bill, sponsored by GOP state Rep. Cole Hefner, was designed to protect female athletes from unfair competition — something that should be a no-brainer for anyone who believes in basic fairness.

But not for Talarico. Instead of defending women's rights, he chose to push radical gender ideology that defies biological reality. This is the kind of woke nonsense that's been poisoning our schools and institutions for years, and now Texas Democrats want to send this guy to the U.S. Senate?

The timing couldn't be more telling. As President Trump's second administration works to end "woke" policies across government and restore sanity to American institutions, Texas Democrats are doubling down on the very ideology that common-sense Americans rejected in 2024.

Social media reactions to Talarico's primary victory reveal the Democrats' strategic confusion. Political observer Kevin Dragos noted that Talarico's win vindicated "all those people who claimed Crockett was dooming our Senate chances," while another user pointed out that Talarico was supposedly better at turning out Latino voters who are "either conservative or fairly apolitical."

The final numbers tell the story: Talarico captured 52.9% of the vote with 1,174,898 votes, while Crockett managed just 45.7% with 1,014,693 votes. Crockett even claimed "people have been disenfranchised" after her loss — the classic Democrat playbook when they don't get their way.

Here's the reality: Texans aren't buying what the radical left is selling. While Talarico might have won a Democratic primary by spouting gender ideology nonsense, he'll face a very different electorate in the general election — one that believes in protecting women's sports and rejecting the anti-science agenda of the woke mob.

Will Texas voters reward a candidate who thinks basic biology is negotiable? Don't count on it, patriots.

As someone who's coached high school girls basketball for 15 years, I've seen firsthand how important it is to protect fair competition. My athletes work incredibly hard and deserve a level playing field.

Wait, can someone explain what the other four 'biological sexes' are supposed to be? I must have missed that day in science class.

They're probably referring to rare intersex conditions, but those are medical conditions affecting a tiny fraction of people, not separate sexes.

This is exactly why we need to thoroughly vet every candidate before they get anywhere near the Senate. Six biological sexes? What planet are these people living on?

Basic biology used to be taught in elementary school. Now apparently it's controversial to state scientific facts.
