SHOCKING: Marine Veteran's ARM BROKEN by Capitol Police During Anti-War Protest - SEVEN CHARGES Filed

A disturbing incident at the Capitol has exposed the heavy-handed tactics being used against American veterans who dare to speak out against endless wars. Marine veteran Brian McGinnis, 44, had his arm broken during an interaction with Capitol Police while protesting U.S. military involvement in Iran - yet he's the one facing seven assault charges.

McGinnis, a Green Party candidate for Senate in North Carolina and a firefighter, interrupted a Senate hearing Wednesday in what he called an anti-war protest. The veteran is now slapped with three counts of assault on a police officer and four additional charges, despite being the one who suffered a broken arm in the encounter.

Social media footage of the incident has sparked outrage, with one user posting: "You can see and hear the moment the veteran's arm snaps." The disturbing video shows what appears to be excessive force being used against a protesting veteran.

"Tim Sheehy had zero authority or jurisdiction over removing the protestor. He should be charged with assault and sued. Open and shut case," posted @TommyTook on social media.

This incident raises serious questions about the treatment of veterans who exercise their First Amendment rights. Here's a Marine who served his country, now works as a firefighter protecting his community, and he gets his arm broken for voicing opposition to another foreign war?

The irony is thick, patriots. We have a veteran who likely saw enough war overseas, comes home to protest MORE war, and gets brutalized by his own government. Meanwhile, the same establishment that talks about "supporting our troops" is filing assault charges against the victim.

ABC11 Raleigh-Durham reported on the incident, with social media users sharing the story under hashtags like #VoteBlue2026, showing how this case is already becoming a political flashpoint ahead of the midterm elections.

Whatever you think about McGinnis's Green Party politics, every American should be concerned when veterans get their bones broken for peaceful protest. Is this the "democracy" our military members are supposed to be defending?

Seven charges for what exactly? Exercising free speech? Meanwhile actual criminals walk free in DC every day. This two-tiered justice system has got to end.

As a fellow Marine, this breaks my heart. We took an oath to defend the Constitution, and now our own brothers are being attacked for speaking out against endless wars. Semper Fi to this patriot - hope he gets justice.

This is absolutely disgusting! A Marine veteran exercising his First Amendment rights gets brutalized by the same government he served to protect. Where's the outrage from the mainstream media?

Exactly! Double standard is so obvious it's not even funny anymore.

They only care when it fits their narrative. If this was BLM they'd be screaming police brutality 24/7.
