An estimated 171 million Americans are planning to travel by air during spring break—a 4% increase over last year. And what's waiting for them? Skeleton crews of dedicated TSA agents who can't put food on their own tables because Chuck Schumer wants to play political hardball.
"The people keeping bombs off your airplane can't pay their mortgages," noted Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, who was so frustrated he gave out Schumer's office number on live television: 202-224-6542.
Republicans Try Twice to Fix It—Democrats Say No

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made it crystal clear: President Trump wants DHS fully funded and fully reopened. He wants TSA, FEMA, and Coast Guard personnel to receive their paychecks.
"To any American out there who is showing up to an airport and facing incredibly long wait times and lines, call your Democrat member of Congress and tell them to fund the Department of Homeland Security," Leavitt urged.
What Are Democrats Really Hiding?
The question every American should be asking: What are Schumer and Jeffries actually trying to accomplish here? They represent New York City—ground zero for the worst terrorist attack in American history. They know better than anyone what's at stake when homeland security fails.
Yet here they are, playing partisan games while TSA workers' bank accounts run dry and Americans miss their flights. The answer is obvious: Democrats are so consumed by their hatred of President Trump that they're willing to compromise national security rather than let his administration succeed.
