Fort Hood, the Texas military base that witnessed one of the deadliest terrorist attacks on American soil since 9/11, is now hosting Ramadan celebrations—a move that has patriots across the nation asking if our military leadership has completely lost its mind.
On November 5, 2009, U.S. Army Major Nidal Hasan opened fire on his fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, murdering 13 Americans and wounding more than 30 others in what was clearly an act of Islamic terrorism. Hasan, who had been in contact with terrorist leader Anwar al-Awlaki, shouted "Allahu Akbar" as he gunned down unarmed servicemembers.
Now, the Fort Hood Religious Support Office is partnering with the base's Muslim community to celebrate the very religion that motivated Hasan's deadly rampage. It's a slap in the face to every family who lost a loved one that day.
"A Humiliation Ritual"
BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales didn't mince words about this outrageous decision: "It's a humiliation ritual at this point." And she's absolutely right. What else can you call it when the military brass forces grieving families and survivors to watch the base celebrate the ideology of their attacker?
"The Fort Hood Religious Support Office and Fort Hood Muslim community are hosting events that completely ignore the reality of what happened on that base," one military source told Next News Network. "It's like they're actively trying to erase the memory of our fallen soldiers."
This is what happens when woke ideology infects our military. Instead of honoring our heroes and remembering the victims of Islamic terror, our military leaders are more concerned with being politically correct than protecting the dignity of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Under President Trump's leadership, we've seen a return to putting America First—including in our military. But clearly, some Obama-era holdovers are still pushing their globalist agenda from within our most sacred institutions.
The families of Fort Hood victims deserve better. Our soldiers deserve better. And frankly, every American who believes in honoring our fallen heroes deserves better than this disgraceful display.
