Virginia's Democrat Governor is facing fierce backlash from patriots across the Commonwealth after her pathetic response to what the FBI is investigating as a possible terrorist attack at Old Dominion University that left a decorated military officer dead.
The attack on Thursday claimed the life of Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, an ODU professor of military science, along with two others injured when an armed attacker opened fire on campus. Heroic students were able to subdue and kill the terrorist before he could claim more innocent lives.
But instead of honoring the fallen war hero and calling out the attack for what it appears to be - terrorism on American soil - the Democratic governor delivered the kind of weak, sanitized statement that has become the trademark of liberal politicians who refuse to confront evil head-on.
Americans Demand Real Leadership
Social media erupted with criticism of the governor's tone-deaf response, with Virginia patriots demanding she show some backbone and actually defend the people she was elected to serve.
"So pathetic that our own governor can't even properly honor a fallen American hero," one furious Virginia resident posted. "This is exactly why we need Trump's strong leadership back in every state."
Lt. Col. Shah dedicated his life to serving America and training the next generation of military leaders. He deserved better than politically correct platitudes from a governor more concerned about appeasing the radical left than honoring our fallen heroes.
This is precisely the kind of weak leadership that President Trump swept into office to replace. While Trump and his administration work tirelessly to secure our borders and defeat terrorism, Democrat governors like Virginia's continue to fail their own citizens with empty words and zero action.
The contrast couldn't be clearer: Trump's America First agenda versus the Democrats' America Last policies that leave heroes like Lt. Col. Shah without the recognition and justice they deserve.
How many more American heroes must we lose before Democrat politicians finally find the courage to call terrorism what it is?
